                             My Udaipur

Come summer and I am off to my hometown with  two kids. The ritual has become so customary off late, enticing my husband  book the tickets as early as possible.

My privilege: I never viewed Udaipur from the eyes of a tourist, having born and brought up in the same place allowed me to take all for granted.

Still the pristine beauty of Udaipur never failed to invite me there for evermore. Every year that I am there it looks lively and refreshed than before.

Udaipur beckoned : After conceiving the idea for Travel Bites, I was too eager to write about all the beautiful tourist places we had been in the last few years.

Little did I realize that, what better it could be to start the series with my hometown which is a very sought-after tourist destination in India.

The 'city of lakes' withrich cultural heritage, breathtaking sight scenes and ever cheerful people, makes it a place worth visit in a lifetime.
